SAIL AWAY
2007-10-21, Sunday:

Went to Bremen via train. 17,20 Euro  for the 90 minutes ride ... approx. 100Km. Bandits. No wonder there're still so many car's out there when public transportation is that expensive !!
Anyway, I arrived at the main station in Bremen and was welcomed very heartly by Inga, a nice hippie-girl I met at the Rainbow-Gathering in Thüringen last Month. Directly at the main train station was a huge "Freimarkt" ... a big, big fair. So much noise and screaming people ... so many smells from the dozens over dozens of snack-bar's. We giggled over "demophobia" ... because we both know it *sigh* Shopping-Mall's and folk festivals/big fairs ("Volksfeste" ... bad things for my phobia *lol*
We took a good walk to and through the citizen's park (Bremer "Bürger-Park", a vey beautiful park. Went back to the Freimarkt again and bought something nice to eat. But we were both happy that we decided to leave the fair with our food and enjoy it on a nearby park.
Went to her home by Bus, she showed me her living-community of 10 people. We talked for hours until we got hungry again. Cooked something small and delicious, just Spaghetti with Pesto on a delicious, selfmade tomatoe gravy. For dessert I opened the chocolate I brought all the long way to Bremen. It turned out to be a very intensive and tasty chocolate ... I named it "orgasm-chocolate"
To EVERYONE who _loves_ chocolate: try Lindt's new masterpieces: Mango with Cayenne, Papaya with Chilli, Maracuja with Jalapeño and Granatapfel with Chilli ... JUMMY !!! They are kinda expensive ... but worth _every_ Cent !! I _love_ it. I tasted just a tiny piece of it and fall on the floor, moaning out loudly *LOL*
Afterwards I gave Inga a hole Reiki-treatment. Very intensive for her, although she does Reiki by herself everyday. Talked about our experiences and impressions for this treatment. She gave me a Shiatsu treatment in return. Also very interesting. Late ... very late. Went sleeping.

2007-10-20, Saturday:

Continued painting the ship, now for the 2nd time, a black "anti-fouling" so that no organic lifeforms want to settle down there
We worked for hours and would've finished the 2nd layer, but the color was all used up. And since it's weekend already, we could't manage to get more special anti-fouling colour before monday.

2007-10-19, Friday:

Startet painting the ship's hull beneath the waterline in a red priming ("Grundierung".

2007-10-18, Thursday:

Bad weather, went to cinema, "Planet Terror", LOL ! Weird stuff ... but funny. Only me and a Cux-Nerd in the cinema. Lotsa fun

2007-10-16, Tuesday:

14:00h:
I went to the "kuku ruku" ... the nearby and cheapest Cybercafe in town. Still EUR 1 per hour internet-surfing *sigh*. I looked for an update-possibility for our GPS-card-plotter, because it didn't accept our data-chip for this sea-region. There _is_ the possibility for an update, but it seems that we have to "buy" it for about EUR 150 ?!! Pirates ... really. Every other Hardware I know is updateable by the user himsellf via an download from the manufactorer's website ... _without_ being charged !!
I fetched the latest e-mails to my tiny, shiny laptop. Wrote a short mail but with about 20 MB of pictures attached to the crew from "Migrobirdo" ... they wanted to start their sailing trip ... well ... this evening =8)
I think we will meet in a few days ... and I'm curious meeting their crew of seven people !
Also I searched for a hitch-hike from here to Berlin tomorrow or Thursday for Diddi.
And I _enjoyed_ it being online via ICQ again ... after such a long time. Had some nice chat's with old and long-time-no-see friends. I love you all =8)
19:00h:
Just wandered around the city a bit ... took the new programs of the three cinema's (just _one_ cinema in my hometown is _far_ bigger than these three together !!
and went to a "self-bakery" ... short before they closed. Got a _very_ good deal: 2for1 ... and after I bought everything they had for this deal, I got an additional thing for free =8)
Went "home" with about 3 Kg of bread and sweet stuff for about 6 Euro's ... that's very cheap ! And everybody loved me for bringing in the sweet stuff *gg*
20:00h:
Andreas "Shakti" was Smutje today. He's a truely master of recycling the surplus "rice from yesterday" =8) Very delicious.
21:00h:
We had a serious but needed conversation. The captain and the crew decided to "uninvite" Diddi from the crew and the ship. He just didn't manage to blend in. It was kinda difficult with him. I like him, although he verbally and mentally attacked me a few days ago ... projecting all of his own fears and problems and anger on me. But that was not the reason. He just talks too much, forcing to much attention from everyone. And sometimes also very disrespectfull ... even to the captain.
00:00h:
As I'm still writing these lines, he seems to try to convince the captain to let him stay ... and I'm still expect him to explode in some way. Don't know what, when or how ... just have the feeling that a big bang is coming. But we have made our choice ... and there's no other way for all of us.
Tomorrow two other crewmembers will leave us ... but just for a few days. So we are just 4 people then. And I will also leave for 1 to 3 days ... depends on my two hosts I wanna visit ... in Bremen and ... hopefully ... in Hamburg
Would be _very_ nice to see the sweet leprechaun "Nirmala" again *sigh*, before we hoist our sails again and head into the warm south.
My "Glücksdrache" from Berlin reminded me today of my missing meditation and Reiki. But I realised that I'm far more centered and meditating "in every single moment" than ever before. I do things much more concentrated and focussed than I used to do. And I'm taking my time and space to give Reiki to my meals, regardless of the speeches around me or the looks or the thoughts of the other's over my behaviour while I'm doing this. I FINALLY found that place inside myself to do it ... even if I'm the only one praying at the table. But till now everyone accepted it as a part of me ... and so did I
I'm _very_ happy for this ... and kinda proud to myself. It took me three and a half years to find the proper importance for that in my life. I bet I'd never found that place when I'd still be working 40 to 60 hours a week in front of computers.
Hmmmmm ... the "tenth prophecy of celestine" falled on my foot ... again. So I'm gonna read a bit more in it now.

2007-10-15, Monday:

We drove into the "Slip-Machine" to get the "Jane" out of the water. About 8 people were necessary to manage this. I believed that I understoood a little of the "ship language" or sailor's jargon by now ... but there, at the ship-builder's dry dock, they shoutet orders I couldn't understand. But amazingly there were people jumping around, tieing and untieing ropes to different positions ... doing whatever the chief of the dry deck shoutet around
Took a few photo's.
16:00h:
The dock's worker's had a first look at our damage. It was revealed, that the marine propelling screw ("Schiffs-Schraube") took damage, too. But for now they have closing time ("Feierabend"). I managed them to get us 220V power for our living-stuff.
They gave us a water based high-preassure cleaning machine with a water preassure power of 10 Bar's ... hell, that rocks !!! We also used it to clean the big pot where the rice was burned in a few days ago ... and even with a steel sponge we didn't manage to get it clean =8( But _this_ machine did most of the job ;
I ordered such a machine for "kitchen purposes" at our captain *lol*
We changed clothes ... waterproof shoes, jacket and trousers ... and got to work. It took Phil and me about 3 hours to clean the whole boat ... well, at least the hull beneath the waterline. There were ton's of small mussels ("Muscheln") all over the hull ("Rumpf") ... everywhere where metal was, they were sitting ... very strong. And because of the high preasure of the cleaning machine, they flew _everywhere_ around. Andreas gave us a diving goggles and I also putted on the built-in hat of my waterproof jacket. Phil didn't ... *harhar* !! He looked like he was given birth by a monstrous sea kraken ... and we both smelled kinda that, too *lol*
The wooden hull was in a _very_ good shape ... besides our litle leak over the waterline from the collision with the buoy.
19:00h:
Smutje again =8
Since Andreas "Shakti" washed our green beans and some potatoes, because the beans had to be done, but he hasn't a plan what to cook out of it, I decided to cook us an indian style bean-potato-curry *JUMMY* ! I _love_ to cook ... finally again. I _really_ missed it, since I quited my appartment mid March this year.
20:00h:
Went to the cinema. They sreened "Operation: Kingdom". Nice political background-story, but too much of the "USA as hero of the world" kinda style. In this case the "glory", omnipotent FBI. But the "intro" of that movie was kinda astonishing.
23:00h:
We still live in the Jane, although it's kinda sloping ("Schräglage/abschüssig").

2007-10-14, Sunday:

13:00h:
I wanted to visit "Inga" in Bremen, a nice girl I met on the Rainbow-Gathering ... but as I went to the main train station, I realized that I forgot my portemonaie. So I managed to miss my train to Bremen. I called her and we decided to meet next week some day.
14:00h:
On the sea again. We just drove out of the "safe" harbour of Cuxhaven and are sailing now to a ship-builder on his dry dock ("Trockendock") to inspect the whole damage and to start the repairs tomorrow. So it's going to be a short sailing trip today =8
But it feels nice to be on the water again.
Funny thing: this morning I experienced the first time that the mainland was _swinging_ under my feet and I had the feeling to be on the sea with some nice, little waves ... but I was sitting on a toilet on the mainland *lol*
15:30h:
We docked at the shipyard where we will be pulled on dryland tomorrow.
16:00h:
Since there's a "Fish-Market" (nope, they don't sell fish there, it's more like a fair or something ... in other german areas they also call it "Pferdemarkt" - horse-market or "Freimarkt" - free market) I decided to have walk over there, sightseeing and shopping ;
I bought a razor-knife ... _damn_ are these things sharp !!! Also a "sharpening-leather" for the razor-knife, a glass nail-"Feile", some batteries, a missing audio-adapter, fresh bread *jummy*, a fresh "Berliner" *more.jummy* ... and ton's of fruit for cheap money =8)
